Emptyness is nothing you can't share...

#1 -

Ok guys, it's my first blog.

I had quite an amusing Saturday to be back from Georgia Tech on break. Today was my grandmothers Christmas luncheon... I'm sure everyone that has either been to a family gathering or that has grandparents that celebrate Christmas very actively knows how that is. As a kid like me you see all of these people you don't see but once a year, give gifts to them, and then watch them go away.
This brings me to Cara. I love my step mom to death, she's hilarious. One of her big things about the Christmas gatherings is she keeps tally of who gets gifts for the children in my immediate family, and then the next year she'll buy gifts for the kids of only those people's children. She has bought gifts for this one family's kids for two years in a row, and they never got us anything. Until this year. But guess who didn't get them anything? FAIL.
The dinner was tasty and I had a decent time sitting in the corner observing my relatives, and when it was all over we left. My grandparents went down for a well earned nap and we left.

So my dad decides that it's a good time to go see Avatar. This movie was pretty good in my opinion, but I couldn't fully appreciate it because my roommate Drew claimed that it was supposed to be very polarizing. I pretty much spent the entire time trying to analyze the allegory in the story, whether it was "Hippie Bullshit" or just a statement against Colonial Imperialism. Whatever though, the graphics were amazing and all but the whole love story was a little strange. I don't know what to think about this guy being in love with a 15 foot tall blue woman with pointy ears... Not that there's anything wrong with the whole color issue but how does that work exactly? Especially since they can't breathe in the others home atmosphere?
Ok so at any rate it was a good movie if you like sci-fi's or whatever you should call that movie. It definitely was a high budget flick, don't expect it to be like one on the syfy channel.

Hell yeah dawg.

Peace
